This profile has a continuous integral fin for surface contact to conventionally installed gypsum drywall. The fin is 7\/8\" wide and is tapered to the edge. The tapered fins are punched with staggered holes to accept standard screw fastening. A Series of continuous grooves are extruded into the face of the fins and provide a greater bonding surface. The Softforms® extruded aluminum profiles are factory primed painted with an etched corrosion-resistant primer compatible with materials used in conjunction with commercial interiors, i.e.: joint compound, latex and enamel paints and wall covering adhesives.
