Product Description
Fire Rated 093X-V Control Expansion Bead
The 093X-V Composite control joint with factory applied intumescent tape to the back side of the control joint. Tested according to UL-2079 "Test for Fire Resistance of Building Joint Systems" and is used to relieve the stress of expansion and contraction of drywall interior partitions, ceilings running in a horizontal or vertical direction, in both metal or wood framing on one or both sides of the wall. The 093X-V is pink in color to quickly indicate fire rated materials and features a co-extruded flexible PVC center allowing a full ⅜" in controlled movement. Tear off strips protect the center from mud, and act as a guide for a taping knife.
To Install, use Trim-Tex 847 Spray Adhesive
Ordering FAQ
Quick Answers
Why 92 inches instead of 10 feet?
We cut every profile down from its 10' mill length to 92" (7'-8") before it ships. A 92" piece qualifies for FedEx Ground; a 10' piece has to move by LTL freight, which costs far more for a small order.
Do you offer custom lengths?
Yes, by request. Use the Request Custom Length form (or call (301) 937-4383) with the length you need; lengths other than 92" ship by freight truck rather than ground parcel, and we'll follow up with a price and freight quote.
What is your return policy?
Return the product within 10 days of receiving it for a refund of the purchase price less shipping charges and a 20% restocking fee; call (301) 937-4383 first so we can authorize the return. Full terms are on the Shipping & Returns page.
